Saurer will showcase a comprehensive range of next-generation spinning, twisting and automation solutions at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore from October 28-31, highlighting how its technologies continue to drive efficiency, sustainability and digitalisation across the textile value chain.
Among the highlights are the new Autocard SC8 with Autocoil 3, featuring the PDS pre-draft system and rectangular cans, the Hunter S1 automated guided vehicle (AGV) for can transport, the Zinser 51 ring spinning machine with the Zpact FX compacting system, the Autocoro 11 rotor spinning station with its Duo Sliver feeding concept,# and the latest CompactTwister system.
“Leading technology for the yarns of tomorrow is what drives us,” says Hailin Xu, CEO of Saurer. “We are excited to demonstrate how our forward-thinking spinning and twisting solutions enable manufacturers to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global market.”
Optimised preparation
At the heart of Saurer’s display is the new Autocard SC8, a high-performance card engineered for superior sliver quality, enhanced productivity and optimised energy consumption. The machine offers a 4.8-square-metre carding area, achieved through a 1.38 metre carding width and a 1.46 metre cylinder diameter, with a redesigned licker-in and doffer positioning extending the active carding zone for improved efficiency.
The Autocoil 3 coiler system, equipped with the PDS pre-draft unit, allows pre-drafted slivers to feed directly into rotor spinning machines, shortening the process flow. The use of rectangular cans increases sliver storage capacity and reduces can changes, supporting higher throughput and more stable yarn quality.
Automation continues with the Hunter S1 AGV, a self-guided can transport system designed for carding, drawing, roving and rotor spinning departments. Its lift-and-transport mechanism prevents wheel jams and enhances operational reliability. The Hunter S1 can be integrated into Saurer’s Senses Mill management system, allowing mills to link logistics automation with digital production data.
Xinser 51
Saurer’s latest Zinser 51 ring spinning machine, configured with 2,056 spindles, demonstrates a blend of precision engineering and automation for high-speed, energy-efficient production. The newly developed Zpact FX compact spinning system ensures excellent fibre control, delivering consistent yarn quality even at maximum speeds.
Rotor spinning takes a leap forward with the Autocoro 11, now featuring the Duo Sliver feeding concept. This dual-supply configuration, equipped with two opening rollers, enables the blending of two slivers directly on the machine. Adjustments can be made in 1% increments, providing exceptional flexibility for producing melange and blended yarns. The system reduces pre-spinning costs and supports the small-batch production of coloured melanges with high reproducibility.
Also on display will be the Autoairo air spinning system, demonstrating versatility with various fibre blends, and the BD 8 – the longest semi-automated rotor spinning machine available, with up to 1,200 positions. The Twinsuction system and automatic doffing functions contribute to energy savings and continuous production efficiency.
Complementing these systems are Texparts components for ring and rotor spinning, ensuring consistent yarn quality across applications.
Twisting
The renewed focus on recycled yarns has placed twisting technology at the centre of sustainable textile production. Saurer’s CompactTwister addresses this demand with benchmark performance in energy efficiency, flexibility, durability and ease of maintenance. Suitable for tyre cord, carpet, staple fibre, glass filament and industrial yarns, it provides a complete solution for both traditional and regenerated materials.
As manufacturers increasingly process shorter recycled fibres, Saurer’s end-to-end spinning and twisting systems offer an integrated approach – from bale to yarn – ensuring high productivity and reliable quality even with challenging fibre blends.
Saurer invites visitors to explore its innovations and speak with technical experts at stand C301 in Hall 3 in Singapore.
