Teijin Frontier, the Teijin Group's fibre products converting company, has expanded its line-up of the next generation cosmetic products that now also include a soft cotton puff, oil-blotting handkerchief and comfortable hygienic insoles.

The new items, part of the Bijinkakumei series launched by Teijin Frontier in September last year, are now on sale at the company’s directly owned Sesame lifestyle shops and other retail stores in Japan, and also in Taiwan, where Bijinkakumei products are already sold.

Soft cotton puff

This new puff features a unique surface laminated with Teijin’s Nanofront for extra softness and highly effective removal of makeup and lotions, and cleansing of skin pores, the manufacturer reports.

Nanofront, a high-strength polyester fibre has a cross-sectional area 1/7500 of human hair, has nano-sized bumps that are said to significantly increase the puff’s surface area.

Oil-blotting handkerchief

This Nanofront handkerchief absorbs waxy, oily sebum secretions on the skin and is said to enhance keratin care when washing one’s face. Its highly soft texture, however, dramatically reduces skin damage due to abrasion, the company reports. Compact in size, it can easily be carried in a pocket or a bag.

Comfortable, hygienic insoles

Rayon fibres infused with skin-friendly minerals from sulfur springs are designed to absorb moisture and reduce unwanted bacteria. A slip-proof backing helps to keep the insole snugly in place inside the shoe.

Teijin Frontier will continue to expand the Bijinkakumei series, according to President Tetsushi Takenaka. “Through sales at cosmetic and drug stores, we intend to establish Bijinkakumei as a popular brand. We expect to realize 50 million yen in sales in the current fiscal year ending in March 2015,” he said.
