The company’s stand will showcase hybrid materials with a focus on Deltapeak series that are designed to offer excellent combinations of performance, appearance and texture for sportswear.

Teijin Frontier’s next-generation Deltapeak fabric has been developed to offer a well-balanced combination of softness, durability, elasticity, ultraviolet protection and anti-transparency. Wind-blocking properties can be added utilising its dense, flat-knit surface.

A 4-dimensional bulky sweat-suit fabric is the new addition to the Deltapeak series. It offers a soft texture, high-bulkiness and lightweight due to its unique four-layer structure. The booth will showcase a new Deltapeak line – a two-in-one sweat-suit fabric that combines water-repelling and sweat-absorbing properties.

Octa fibre features a unique, highly modified cross section of eight projecting fins aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre. Notable advantages include rapid wicking and drying, as well as useful bulkiness, the company reports. Another type of Octa is a comfort material integrated with insulation and lining.

Fluorocarbon-free water-repellent materials will also be highlighted. Fluorocarbon, a halocarbon in which certain hydrogen atoms are replaced with fluorine, is a greenhouse gas targeted under the Kyoto Protocol. Fluorine build-up is thought to be harmful to the human body and the environment. Teijin Frontier develops durable and water-repellent fluorocarbon-free materials as part of its commitment to environmental protection.

Finally, Teijin Frontier’s polytrimethylene terephthalate Solotex fibre will be presented. It is highly soft, stretchable, shape retaining and durable. As a partially bio-derived material, it also helps to conserve fossil resources, according to the manufacturer.
