Hygiene Austria reports that it is focusing on health protection for children by commencing production of children’s protective face masks just in time for the resumption of school lessons. The existing product offering of mouth-nose and FFP2 face masks by Hygiene Austria is being extended to include face masks for children.

During a visit to the production facilities, pupils and their school principal Marion Amri gained an insight into face mask manufacturing in Wiener Neudorf. Management at Hygiene Austria and the Mayor of Wiener Neudorf, Herbert Janschka, were present and accompanied the school visitors on their tour. Hygiene Austria promised School Director Marion Amri of the elementary school in Wiener Neudorf that it would make colourful children’s face masks available to the pupils in the school for the remaining school time.

Hygiene Austria, recently established by Lenzing AG and Palmers Textil AG, has been manufacturing mouth-nose and FFP2 protective face masks in Austria - the rapid cooperation of the two companies has enabled the high demand for children’s face masks to be met in time for of reopening schools.

The restart of school involved major challenges to many pupils, as not all children had proper functioning masks - many of the masks were already torn after a short time or were unpleasant to wear.

“We are now producing children’s face masks made of high-quality and colourful nonwovens. The further diversification of our product portfolio is designed to send out an important signal on protecting our children”, said Stefan Doboczky, CEO of Lenzing AG, in the presence of the pupils and their School Director.

“We were able to address the particularly important issue of wearing comfort for children in manufacturing these face masks thanks to our years of experience in the textile sector. In our industry one has to quickly respond to new trends and development,” said a pleased Tino Wieser, Member of the Board of Palmers Textil AG.

Following a detailed presentation on the features of the protective face masks and the high-quality mask production, Mayor Herbert Janschka commented: “I am particularly proud of the fact that the Wiener Neudorf Elementary School was the very first school in Austria to receive the high-quality children’s face masks manufactured by Hygiene Austria.“

Parties interested in mouth-nose, FFP2 and children’s masks can send their inquiries to Matvei Hutman, Member of the Board of Palmers Textil AG at: [email protected]
