The Higg Index is a group of online modules provided by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) that offers performance overviews of apparel products and companies. This encourages clothing and footwear companies to go beyond compliance by allowing companies to better understand their environmental, social and labour impact.
To provide SAC members with direct access to key supplier data, UL EHS Sustainability now offers integration with the Higg Index, enabling apparel companies to:
- Quickly pull accurate supplier sustainability performance data and scores
- Receive automatic alerts to instances of noncompliance
- Document corrective actions for improving supplier scores
Software integration
"UL EHS Sustainability is committed to constantly developing software that addresses real business challenges," said Mark Ward, general manager of UL EHS Sustainability. "The Higg Index and our software both help apparel companies manage their supply network, and by integrating the two, we hope to make managing risk easier for apparel decision-makers."
Through its software, UL EHS Sustainability enables companies to accurately capture, manage, and report the sustainability, supply chain and EHS information needed to ensure compliance and drive performance across all business areas.
