Composites UK at the Composites Engineering Show

Composites UK Trade Association will once again be sponsoring the Composites Engineering Show, that will be taking place from 12-13 November in Birmingham. During the two days of the exhibition, Composites UK will be supporting the industry strategic briefing sessions and organising open forums to disseminate early success from the Composites Innovation Cluster (CiC) projects. The Association will also present the Industry Award Winners and host a ‘Composites 101’ tutorial session in collaboration with the Composites Skills Alliance aimed at those companies wanting to move into the composites industry.

The Association will also present the Industry Award Winners and host a ‘Composites 101’ tutorial session in collaboration with the Composites Skills Alliance aimed at those companies wanting to move into the composites industry.

UK strategy development

The Strategic Briefing sessions, chaired by Chris Little Chair of Composites UK, will focus on ‘Making the UK Composites Industry work’ with presentations from Peter Chivers, CEO of National Composites Centre and Alison Starr, Chair of Composites Leadership Forum.

The sessions are aimed at providing industry with crucial information on UK strategy development and what impact it will have on their businesses.

Exiting developments

“The Composites Engineering Show has become the platform to showcase the UK’s composites industry,” commented Dr Halliwell, Operations Manager at Composites UK.

“There have been major developments in the UK composites industry over the last 12 months and there are exciting projects now started with others in the pipeline. This show, in line with the industry, goes from strength to strength each year.”

The Composites UK Industry Awards dinner will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, celebrating industry achievements with winners being showcased in the features area on the exhibition show floor.
