A large group of British interior textile companies will be exhibiting at Heimtextil – the key international trade show for home and contract textiles held in Frankfurt, Germany this week (January 10-13).

Heimtextil is the global platform for interior textile companies wishing to present their products to a wide audience, traditionally welcoming 60,000 visitors from 80 countries.

With the support of the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the GREAT campaign, UKFT is organising the promotion of 42 businesses the British Textiles stand in Hall 4.1, at stand G52. The British group at Heimtextil is the largest UK interior textile presence outside the UK. A full list of exhibitors can be accessed here.

Heimtextil is the first international show for most of these textile companies since the pandemic and Brexit. UKFT is working to help the companies put their collections across to the international market. UKFT will also provide support on how to sell to the EU and other markets further afield. This offer remains open to UK companies throughout and after the show.

This season, innovation and sustainability will be at the forefront for many UK brands, with designers and mills leading the way towards a better and cleaner industry.

UK textile design is world-renowned thanks to Central St Martins, London College of Fashion, the Royal College of Art, Huddersfield and other cutting-edge UK institutions. This year, 26 UK design houses will offer their unique take on the season’s trends at Heimtextil.

With unique properties, designs and colourways, British textiles are used by designers around the world. In addition, being manufactured in the UK means that textiles are produced under strict rules on sustainability and ethical practices. Several manufacturers will be part of the UK group this season, and the UKFT is also pleased to be joined by the three converters and traders – British Velvets, Caldeira and Fryett’s Fabrics.
