Flame-resistant textile manufacturer Westex, a Milliken brand, will showcase some of the most popular garments made by its customers including Ariat, Carhartt and Wrangler at the 2023 NSC Safety Congress and Expo which takes place in New Orleans from October 23-25.

Key products such asWestex DH Air, Westex Indigo denim and the Polartec FR collection, as well as new hi-vis options and stretch indigo denim made with Repreve recycled fibres will be featured.

Westex FR experts will also give two free-to-attend presentations on the key drivers and myths and realities of flame retardant protective garments and safety advocate Brandon Schroeder will also appear at the company’s stand.

In 2023, Schroeder, the founder of Believe in Safety, joined Westex at multiple regional shows, sharing his arc flash survival story and the importance of proper PPE use.

Representatives from Lenzing will also be on hand to discuss the use of Tencell lyocell in Westex fabrics.

“Part of the Westex value system is always looking for solutions to the market’s biggest challenges,” said Michael Langley, vice president of protective fabrics. “Listening to our customers and identifying their needs is a point of pride for us and NSC is one of the biggest opportunities for us to hear what the industry is experiencing and take that back to our innovation team. We’re particularly excited to share some of the sustainability and sourcing trends we’re seeing within the protective apparel market and understand how we can help our customers apply what we’ve learned.”
