J.Lindeberg, a leading Swedish clothing company, is continuing with its involvement with alpine skiing by becoming the official apparel sponsor for the FIS World Alpine Ski Championships in St. Moritz 2017.

In February, around 150,000 people will travel to the village of St. Moritz in Switzerland to see one of the most prestigious ski events in the world. It will bring together some of the world’s greatest skiers to compete in every alpine discipline.

Designing official uniform

The two-week event represents the largest and most impressive collection of ski racing in the world. For this event, J.Lindeberg, a company with a long history in fashion and high tech sports apparel, has had the great opportunity to establish a close collaboration with several different partners, such as two leading specialists in the outdoor business — Gore and PrimaLoft.

In collaboration with these companies, J.Lindeberg has created the FIS World Alpine Ski Championships official uniform, outfitting 1,300 event officials and a merchandise collection sold at the event and in stores around the world.

High-tech materials

Both the uniform and the merchandise collection fuses high-tech materials with innovative details, tailored silhouettes and a rebellious sophistication, the company reports.

Some of the highlights are two-layer Gore-Tex with and without padding, and three-layer Gore-Tex and Gore Windstopper. For insulation, PrimaLoft Gold insulation is used, which is a high performing synthetic insulation and the go-to choice for those looking for protection in extreme conditions.
