Following the successful launch of SpringBond earlier this year, nonwoven textiles manufacturer Texfelt has announced that SpringBond FR, its heavy contract double stick underlay system, has received approval from four world leading adhesives companies.
SpringBond FR has been exhaustively tested and approved by FBall, Uzin, Ardex and Xchem, demonstrating the quality and trustworthiness of the product, which is designed to keep underlay secure in heavy traffic areas.
Launched at the Harrogate Flooring Show and during the INDEX exhibition in Dubai this month, SpringBond FR is suitable for use in hotels, hospitality and leisure establishments. The carpet underlay is available in 7mm double stick and is made from recycled PET plastic bottles (up to 120 per roll) and other single use plastics, offering maximum performance with minimum environmental impact.

“SpringBond FR is a prime product for commercial applications where the customer doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort for performance. It may sound too good to be true, but you can have both, while also doing your bit for the environment by avoiding plastic bottles polluting the world’s oceans,” said James Taylor, Managing Director of Texfelt.
“The fact that it’s now been approved by extremely respected names in the adhesives industry will give fitters peace of mind and demonstrate the quality and longevity of the product. We have fitting guides available to offer advice on the best method of application to optimise the tackifier and adhesive system as recommended by each manufacturer, so we really are covering all bases.”
